Modulo Pi presents an interactive LED experience powered by Modulo Kinetic V5.1
At ISE 2024, Modulo Pi introduced the new version 5.1 of the Modulo Kinetic media server solution. The fully-integrated platform powered an interactive LED experience that transported the audience into various worlds.
Modulo Kinetic is a comprehensive media server designed to effortlessly create stunning visual experiences.
Highly versatile, Modulo Kinetic can be used across the complete workflow, including study, simulation, playback, and show control. Featuring real-time 3D, interactivity, and tracking, the media server also comes with an embedded low-latency live mixer as an industry first.
These extensive capabilities are brought within one consistent and user-friendly interface to deliver optimum performance, reliability, and usability.
With new Version 5.1, Modulo Kinetic facilitates the creation and implementation of experiences featuring real-time interactions with video, audio, light, generative content or machinery, for both permanent installations and live events. All steps required in an interactive project, from calibrating sensors to creating effects, are accessible from the media server, without having to program code or create gateways to a suite of third-party tools.
At ISE 2024, Modulo Kinetic powered a LED experience and offered visitors the ability to interact with the content of 5 different demos.
The set-up consisted in:
1 x Modulo Kinetic Designer
1 x Modulo Kinetic V-Node server equipped with 1 x 4K output
2 x Hokuyo 2D LiDARs (Model UST-10LX) – One on top of each wall for interactivity on walls
1 x Ouster 3D LiDAR (Model OS0) – For interactivity on the floor
LED walls: 18 sqm of Absen LED SMD indoor 2.5mm black LS2.5 Pro
LED floor: 9 sqm of Absen LED SMD indoor 3.9mm LS3.9 Pro
Through 5 different demos, some of the new capabilities of Modulo Kinetic were demonstrated:
– Support of 2D and 3D LiDARs
– Easy calibration of all devices supported
– Internal library of effects
– Node-based programming editor
– Improved 3D engine
By touching walls or walking on the LED floor, visitors could interact real-time with media, generate content, trigger videos, images or sounds, and more.
