Les Mémoires d’Ajaccio, a spectacular light and sound show with Modulo Player

From June 22 to September 30, 2021, the Ajaccio citadel is hosting Les Mémoires d’Ajaccio, a light and sound show produced by Richard Di Meglio and association Avenamenti, with the support of the city of Ajaccio.

The first edition is retracing Napoleon’s life for the bicentenary of the emperor’s death. Designed by Damien Fontaine, the 40 minutes show offers an immersion in periods of Napoleon’s life, and celebrates Ajaccio, his hometown. Thanks to a video-mapping projection, facades of the citadel come to life, and an actor performs along the facade and seems to interact with the show.

The video-projection is handled by VLS. Teams of VLS installed 8 x Christie Boxer 4K 30,000 lumen projectors for the show, as well as 3 x Modulo Player media servers by Modulo Pi. The media servers are used for soft edge blending, warping, as well as media and audio playback.

The show will play 3 times every night until September 30.
